A Page From An Old Sketchbook

This was done last year while a friend was being hospitalized for some serious back pain. She was out cold for many hours which offered me the unique opportunity of having a still model. Not sure if it was intentional but I ended the sketch with myself drawing my shoes on the bottom right corner of the sketchbook within a sketchbook. This is what led me to title it "Me Drawing My Shoes". After thinking about all of this for a while, it added a weird twist to the piece for me. I thought, what if I am more concerned about my shoes than this person in a hospital bed? Larger version can be viewed on my site.
